The PicturePhone was an ahead-of-its-time technology introduced by Bell in 1964 that failed miserably to the tune of a half a billion dollars.

As part of his series of tech failures, the Engineer Guy (Bill Hammack of the University of Illinois) talks about why the technology that nearly created the internet didn’t catch on.
