Sentridoh
- Lou B's Wasted Pieces '87-'93
Lou Barlow's got the sickness, man. And there's a
diagnosis. Yes, he has a bad case of B.P.S. B.P.S., you
say? Oh, that's Bob Pollard Syndrome for those not "in
the know." Robert Pollard is the genius songwriter of
Guided by Voices fame. The guy probably writes perfect
pop songs while using the john. However, he also seems
to record every single song idea he's ever had. And
that makes for some poor listening.
So apparently Sentridoh is Lou Barlow's lo-fi project.
He is mainly known for being part of Sebadoh, an
iconic "indie rock" band. I admit that I only have one
of their CDs, Harmacy, and it's not even one of
their best ones. But I like his songs, and I can
definitely tell that Dave Bazan was a fan.
However, this is nothing but an example of gross
indulgence. Brief snippets of songs, usually out of
tune, and poorly sung. Hey, if you like Lou Barlow
this much, then you're quite the fan. This is like
Starflyer 59 fans buying The Drop 7". Why??
