The Ocean Blue is one of those bands so rooted in personal nostalgia for me that hearing them instantly takes me back to high school and the friend’s room where I first heard the song “Whenever You’re Around.” That was 17 years ago and it’s been 13 years since their last full length so the recently released Ultramarine was a welcome addition to my playlist earlier this week.
The song “Sad Night, Where Is Morning?” shows they are more than just a revival act of has beens.
