Saxon Shore music in Sony HD commercial

If you aren't observing TV Turn-off Week this week and happen to catch a Sony HD commercial you'll hear Saxon Shore's "Marked With the Knowledge" coming through you TV set.

The Philadelphia-based instrumental act will be featured in a series of commercials for the company debuting April 22. The group also recently signed up with publishing company Primary Wave, joining a roster of acts that include Kurt Cobain and Daniel Johnston.

This isn't a first for Saxon Shore -- their music been featured in trailers for the Sundance Film festival, the MLB All-Star Game, The Kentucky Derby Telecast and commercials for Payless and Blue Cross -- but the latest commercial and publishing deal should create even more of a buzz for their forthcoming album. The record is being recorded again with Grammy-award winning producer David Fridman and is due out in late 2008/early 2009.
