Ours return with Rick Rubin produced "Mercy"

Ours, a rock band often linked and compared (fairly or not) to the late Jeff Buckley, are planning to release their first album in five years on April 1.

Titled "Mercy(Dancing for the Death of an Imaginary Enemy)," the record is the band's fourth and the first on Rick Rubin's American/Columbia Record label. Rubin produced the record with front man, Jimmy Gnecco.

"We are so proud of this record because we finally reached our initial goal.  A group of people working together with a unified vision. Rick Rubin was a part of that. He supported us, provided guidance where needed, and helped to make it all possible,” Gnecco stated in a news release.

The highly anticipated release comes after a five year hiatus from their 2002 “Precious” release on Dreamworks.
