Friday Night Lights to be relit

It looks like all those light bulbs fans of the TV show Friday Night Lights sent to try and convince NBC to keep the critcally-acclaimed high school drama on the air for a third season have paid off.

NBC released its new schedule today and Friday Night Lights made the cut, according to Variety.com.

The bad news for all those lightbulb-buying fans is they have to wait until winter to see the Smash make his college debut and find out what dumb luck thing is going to happen next to Tim Riggins.

The good news is the Friday night (9-10 p.m.) time slot won't be competing with actual high school football.
