Witmer starts work on 7th LP

One of Philadelphia's finest recently announced his intentions to record again on his official Web site.

The record will be his seventh dating back to his 1995 self-released cassette "My Luck, My Love" (he recorded another full-length record using the band name River Bends).

Though he spares many details of his plans for the formal follow-up to 2005's "Are You A Dreamer," he does mention that he is scheduled to record in Seattle come spring with producer Blake Wescott. He also says the record will feature many familiar faces including Rosie Thomas, who he collaborated with on the 2006 record "These Friends of Mine," and James McAlister (Ester Drang, Sufjan Stevens).

He plans to document the recording process here.
