Nation’s first nonprofit supermarket opening in Chester, Pa.

Chester, Pennsylvania, a small poor city outside Philadelphia that’s home to Major League Soccer’s Philadelphia Union, a casino and not a whole lot else has a new solution to the previously futile task of finding fresh produce and other affordable healthy food options within the city limits.

Fair & Square, the nation’s first nonprofit supermarket, opens on Saturday.
