Les Lye, the Canadian actor who played Barth and other adult foils on the show You Can’t Do That On Television died on Tuesday at the age of 84. When I heard the news I immediately thought of the sick feeling that came over me every time the scene would cut away to a group of kids eating at Barth’s Burgery. Lye may be gone, but the stench of his burgers and the subsequent vomit they induced carries on. In fact, I think I’m getting that sick feeling all over again.
