Elsewhere: Did Hillary Clinton really win?

It’s a good question to ask, considering that 31 of President-Elect Barack Obama’s first 47 appointments have direct ties to the family dynasty of his former Democratic primary nemesis.

Tom Engelhardt explores that question in this blog post at The Nation.

Those hardcore Hillary supporters who, like one of my co-workers (a lifelong Democrat who has re-registered as an independent), claim that the primary was fixed might want to do a little soul searching.

Obama’s right-wing opponents who lavished so much praise on their former punching bag during the primary might also want to reconsider.

For those of us in the middle, it appears as though it might be premature to raise a glass to the end of the Bush-Clinton monarchy.
