When I saw this, I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to smile or walk away as quickly as possible.

The saying isn’t original, but this design sure beats a lot of the other shirts I found online with the “Read books, not T-shirts” slogan on them. Seriously, why would I want to buy a t-shirt with words and no design on it for $18 from Zazzle or Cafepress when I could just make it myself?

Oh but wait, you can’t buy this shirt anyway. It’s sold out.

If you came across a door like this, as I did at Millersville University, which side would you push? (Hint: I chose the wrong side.)

After spending an entire day at two different mechanics trying to get my car to pass inspection in the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, I wouldn’t mind having the thing launched into a dirty river right about now.

It’s amazing how in this country you can go from one state that doesn’t give you any grief about driving a seven-year-old car with 170,000 miles on it to one that nickel and dimes you to the point of wanting to trade the car in and start all over. 

The best part is, our car still hasn’t passed and may never pass for all we know.

From experience, I can tell you that a visit to this urgent care clinic in Louisville won’t result in an immediate need for a tombstone. Still, the symbolism seems appropriate given the ongoing discussion of health care reform and the fact that I now have a pre-existing condition following my visit to this clinic that is making it a bear to insure myself.
