Bus stop hate

busstopsign

While waiting for the bus earlier today I had the pleasure of listening to a middle-aged man tell a pleasant African-American woman I was waiting with that she was going to be “blown up for voting for an empty suit” and that she “only voted for him because she was sexually attracted to him.”

When I interjected and told him to take his hate elsewhere, he told me he wasn’t talking to me and then looked at me and said “you kids nowadays are too busy listening to your iPods to know what’s really going on.”

I was reading a book at the time.
