Benjamin Button scores 13 Oscar nominations

The Curious Case of Forrest Gump, I mean, Benjamin Button, led the way with a stunning 13 Oscar nominations for the 81st Academy Awards.

Slumdog Millionaire also scored big in the nominations announced early Thursday morning, adding to its already large collection of award considerations with 10.

Joining Benjamin Button and Slumdog Millionaire in the best picture category are Frost/Nixon, The Reader and Milk.

Dark Knight fans are sure to have a beef with the Academy’s best picture snub, but the latest Christopher Nolan-directed Batman flick did receive eight nominations, including the predictable posthumous nod for Heath Ledger’s Joker. Milk also received eight.
